A message from Harriet Linfoot, Development Officer for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust:
“As many of you know Bridgehead is a unique business park. Raised up and flanking the park is a mature woodland with a 1km nature trail running through it. This woodland is being managed and improved for wildlife by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
The wood is home to many different species of bird such as green woodpecker, blackcap and wren. It is also home to many insects and mammals such as deer and rabbits. It is a place to be enjoyed and to spend time and to help staff based at Bridgehead to do this we are offering short, lunch time, guided walks. Take 30mins to learn a bit about wildlife and a chance to clear your head and become revitalised for the afternoon ahead.
The first walk will be on Wednesday 17 June, meeting at 12.30pm at the steps of the woodland and the second walk will be on Wednesday 1 July at the same time.
If you would like to know more information about wildlife on site, the project and how to get involved please email me at harriet.linfoot@ywt.org.uk”
