Following completion of the construction and fit-out works, Tiptoes Day Nursery opened its third nursery at Bridgehead Business Park in August.
After three months, Tiptoes already has 40 children on the register who are looked after by 7 members of staff including a manager and cook. At full capacity the Bridgehead nursery will be able to accommodate 70 children with a dedicated resource of 15 full-time equivalent members of staff.
The purpose-built nursery is located adjacent to the mature woodland which will offer the opportunity for the children to be escorted on short nature walks in the quiet safe habitat managed by Wykeland and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. The building was designed with safety in mind and allows for natural light to flood into the large open internal space and make the most of the generous floor-to-ceiling height. Dedicated drop-off and car parking is available at the front door and at the rear Tiptoes have built a large secure external play area. A secure-by-design entry control system means only staff and parents can access the premises.
“Our new Bridgehead Nursery is growing as per our forecast and in-line with our two previous openings.” said Paul Gilson, Director. “Bridgehead is delivering to plan following our investment which represents one of the highest investments per sqm in childcare facilities in the country over the past three years. We chose Bridgehead due to its fantastic location, the cross roads into and out of Hull, East Riding and North Lincolnshire, coupled with the high development standards set by Wykeland providing peace of mind for the rest of the development. Children and parents have settled in well and are looking forward to being able to use the facilities and those of the surrounding wildlife areas.”
