The latest building to break ground at Bridgehead Business Park is Rofin Sinar UK’s new office, research and development and hi-tech manufacturing facility. The 80,000 sq.ft. two storeybuilding is the largest building so far to be developed by Wykeland on the Bridgehead site and the impressive structure is really taking shape now the steelwork has been erected.
Rofin Sinar, the award winning laser company, will relocate from its current premises in Willerby and the move will enable the company to nearly double its existing capacity. The expansion is being partly funded by a central government Regional Growth Fund grant administered through the Humber LEP. The grant will enable the company to invest in research and development and create over 60 new jobs.
Havercroft Construction were appointed main contractor following a competitive tender and the building will be completed to a shell finish in March 2015 and handed over to Rofin Sinar to complete the fit-out before occupation.
Stephen Hudson, Development Director at Wykeland said “We have worked hard with Rofin Sinar UK to create the right building for their business needs within their target budget without compromising on design or build quality. We expect a strong partnership ethos will deliver a successful project for all concerned.”
